Want to know my style secrets when it comes to Fashion?
Heres my little guide to choosing that outfit, for you to reference at any time...
RULE NUMBER ONE... THERE ARE NO RULES
I find this with make up also, there are no rules! Fashion, especially, is an area that welcomes creativity and the ability to step outside of the box, while everyone think it may all be about following trends, it's also just as important to start trends, otherwise where would we be? Don't be afraid to mix prints, clash colours, turn up over dressed to almost every occasion (guilty!), its your style, embrace it. The rest of this little guide are simply things I always consider when it comes to fashion, I am in no way telling you to do this, or giving you rules, this is just my way of doing things that I'd love to share.
KNOW YOUR SHAPE
We are all guilty of this, I use to always look at the model wearing the dress and just assume that is exactly how it would look on me, assuming that it would fit me the way it does the model, assuming it would flatter me in the same way as it does the model, unfortunately this is not the case, we all can rock clothing that others can't and overtime we learn what truly suits us and we should always shop baring that in mind.
SHOP AROUND
It's 2017, we aren't loyal customers, there's too much out there! This past decade the High Street has spoilt us, while we use to rely on Topshop, River Island and ZARA for our wardrobe, the internet has introduced us to so much more, and it's important to shop around for what is best, and not just assume TOPSHOP will have nice stuff because you've always been pleased before, step inside and get online!
ACCESSORISE!
I think accessories are just as important, and in most cases life savers! The amount of times a different necklace can transform that same black basic jumper is undeniable.
WHEN IN DOUBT, WEAR BLACK
Whenever your stuck planning an outfit for any occasion, think black! Popping to the shops? Black sweater, black skinnies and a pair of trainers. Lunch? Pair that same outfit with a heeled boot and maybe a nice scarf, or necklace (accessorise, remember!). My favourite spontaneous night out outfit is always a black bodysuit, black skinnies and some heels, black can do no one no wrong!
BASICS WILL NEVER GO OUT OF STYLE
Stock up on them basics, you'll always need them! A good selection of basics is a must for any wardrobe, they make your life so much easier and create endless options when it comes to all different types of outfits for all different types of occasions!
